Help! Need an ABS Modulator Unit

My ABS unit dumped all it's fluid on the garage floor yesterday. I had to top it up last week - assuming I had a minor leak at the bleed valve - WRONG. I checked out my Helms and it appears that the components arn't serviceable and the whole unit gets replaced.

So I called A&H Motorsports for a good price on a new one......Are you sitting down??... almost $1500. Damn.

Right now, I've got the ABS motor fuse pulled, and it's running in "bypass" mode. Unless I can find a used unit cheap, I think I'll just have to live without ABS.

Anybody out there got an extra one taking up space on their workbench?

isn't there usually a high pressure rubber hose that breaks? or did you have something else break?

I checked it out as best as possible while it was in the car. My guess was the pump-motor seal(s). I might have been able to rebuild it, but I don't want to risk it.

I've got my replacement sitting right here beside me - pretty fast huh? They get a big thumbs up from me. Most salvage yards around here want 75% of the new price.

yeah not worth the rebuild. quite a deal. what was the retail on the unit?
